Forget labels.
You can't compare the Blue Man Group show to any other attraction around. It’s a rock concert, heavy on percussion.
A display of magic and illusion.
A critique of modern technology and information overload.
Put those together, mix with some cobalt blue paint and you’ve got some idea of what you're going to see.
With their How To Be A Megastar Tour 2.1, the trio send-up and embrace the rules, rituals and raw excitement of that most primal of group experiences: the arena rock concert.

Help make Rochester "A Litter Bit Better" - April 19-26
Posted by: RochesterMN at 9:49AM EST on April 15, 2008
During this week, volunteers will join together to pick up litter in Rochester.

Why is there a need? Maybe Rochester seems like a really clean city to you?
In fact, compared with other locations, it is very clean but it takes our constant care. Last year, Rochester’s first A Litter Bit Better! event contributed to the collection of 21,500 pounds of litter by over 1,400 volunteers from public lands throughout the City of Rochester. That’s a lot of trash!
Didi you know???
One average fast food Styrofoam container thrown out a car window will take 1 million years to decompose (the Missouri No More Trash website).
Fast food containers and waste make up 33% of all litter (the Missouri No More Trash website).
One aluminum can will take 200-500 years to break down (the Missouri No More Trash website) .
Littered cigarette filters contain toxic chemicals that leak into the air and water (the Missouri No More Trash website)
45% of roadside litter occurs unintentionally when trash blows out of uncovered trucks or falls off of unsecured loads (Minnesota Department of Transportation).
You can help!
Here’s how: 1. Save the date for 2008! April 19-26 2. Select an area of Rochester for collecting litter (see map) 3. Pick a date during A Litter Bit Better! week for collecting litter 4. Recruit family, friends, neighbors, or co-workers to help you collect litter 5. Register your group, location, and date on-line 6. Pick up your collection instructions and trash bags 7. Collect litter on your selected date 8. Report your results and celebrate your good deed!
Remind friends and family of the importance of NOT littering. Lead by example and let's pick up litter all year long. Rochester is a great city, made up of great neighborhoods. Working together we can keep it that way!
(information taken from www.rneighbors.org, visit the RNeighbor's website for more info).
